The Peak District Community Networking exists to bring local business owners and self-employed people together in a warm, friendly, non-intimidating space where connection comes first. It’s a place to share what you do with pride, feel less alone in business, and build genuine relationships that support you personally and professionally.

How our meet-ups work
We meet once a month at The Millstone Inn in Hathersage (usually the 3rd Thursday, except August). In each session you can expect:

Gentle 2-minute introductions – a relaxed chance to practise talking about your work. No perfection or polished pitch needed.

A simple skills or development topic – something practical around business or personal growth to help you feel more confident and clear.

Relaxed networking and chat – time to deepen conversations, explore collaborations, and get to know people properly.
Between sessions, we encourage informal 1:1 chats so you can really understand each other’s businesses and feel confident recommending and supporting one another. That’s where the strongest connections – and opportunities – tend to grow.
